Abstract:

This video outlines World Wood Day (WWD, March 21st), initiated by the International Wood Culture Society (IWCS), as a cultural event celebrated annually on 21 March. Since 2013, the WWD events have been held under a specific theme and in one country as a main venue each year to highlight wood as an eco-friendly and renewable bio-material and to raise awareness on the key role wood plays in the sustainable environment. This video also showcases the beauty and the cultural value of wood and forests through multicultural and multidisciplinary programs that have been developed and designated for a better understanding and public involvement around the world.
