Please note that this is a decentralized event and we can only help with general issues regarding the event and not with technical requests regarding individual sessions. We provide guidance regarding the IUFRO World Day Interactive Map below and hope to support you during the event the best way possible.

Find the features of the interactive map explained below

Click on the buttons to view the timetable for the corresponding day of the event! You will see all live sessions and their starting time in the event timetable.

See UTC standard time as well as your local time displayed above the map at all times!

Several filters will be available that give you the option of selecting events tailored to your preference (i.e. thematic field, type of session or session timeline). When using the filter, only events suited to it will be shown and you will get a better overview.

Past, current, upcoming and future events will be shown in different colours for your orientation! This gives you an overview of what is currently happening and what still awaits you during the IUFRO World Day.

Static content like publications, articles, information or recorded videos will be shown in a seperate section (as well as on the map) and can be accessed throughout the event!

Find sessions and further content all over the world displayed as point markers on the map! You can see a short information on the event by hovering over the markers and access the corresponding session or content by clicking on it.

For participants

How can I attend individual sessions and access content at the event?


Once you have registered for the whole event, you will have access to all individual sessions and content of the IUFRO World Day. During the event, you will see all sessions that are happening at the moment as well as upcoming events on the interactive world map. Furthermore, static content will be available on this map during the whole event. In addition, we will provide you with a timetable through which you can also access the individual sessions.

The links to sessions and content are accessible through our IUFRO World Day interactive map https://www.iufroworldday.org/interactive-map. You need to register or log in to access the map. You can click on the points on the map and the link will show up in a pop-up box. You can also click on sessions in the timetables above the map. The links will take you directly to the session or content.




How long will the event be? What time zones can I choose?


The event will last for 24 hours across three different time zones. In each time zone, the event comprises 8 hours of sessions. Depending on your location, you can attend the event in the time zone North and South America, Europe / Africa / Middle East or Asia / Asia-Pacific / Oceania. You may, of course, attend events across several time zones as well if you wish to do so.

Where can I find the static content items?


You can find all our static content on the IUFRO World Day Map as well as in the extra session for static content. The content itself will only be accesible when the IUFRO World Day live event starts until the closing of the forum. The content is available from 28 September 2021, 08:00 am UTC, until 29 September 2021, 13:00 pm UTC. You need to register to view the content.




I am a session hosts, where can I find the link to my session and when will it be accesible?


The links to sessions and content are accessible through our IUFRO World Day interactive map https://www.iufroworldday.org/interactive-map. You need to register or log in to access the map. You can click on the points on the map and the link will show up in a pop-up box. You can also click on sessions in the timetables above the map. The links will take you directly to the session or content.

The actual links to the sessions and content will only be accessible once the event starts on 28 September, 08:00 am UTC, until the end of the event on 29 September, 12:00 noon UTC. You will be able to access them through our interactive map.




Where can I see the starting times of sessions? What time zone do they refer to?


You can find all session times in the timetables above the map (click to open the timetables for each time zone) or by clicking on sessions on the interactive map. All times in the timetable and on the interactive map refer to UTC standard time.

A live event is password protected, how do I get in to this session?


For events with passwords, the event popup on the map will give the password with the heading "SESSION PASSWORD". It is found between the "Format & Platform" and "Session Organizer" headings.
