Abstract:

Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute (FFPRI) has been conducting comprehensive researches on forests, forestry, wood industry and forest tree breeding over 110 years. Throughout its long history, FFPRI has been constantly reviewing and re-designing its research to meet the needs of the times. In the middle of 2021, the world is facing major challenges such as the achievement of SDGs by 2030, global-net zero emission by 2050, and green recovery after COVID-19. Sustainable management of forest ecosystems, novel usage of wood, and new knowledge for tree breeding can contribute to moving forward to a better future. Researches with international partnerships can be a key to it. This event aims to collaborate more diverse partners in the world. Selected researchers from FFPRI’s research areas of forest, forestry, wood industry and forest tree breeding present state-of-the-art topic of their research including future perspective and international collaboration.
